CLOCH NA CINNIÚNA (The Stone of Destiny) – Connemara Golf Landscape
The large stone which stands stoutly on the side of the fairway is the basis for this name. The original ‘Stone of Destiny’ or Lia Fáil stood at the Hill of Tara in County Meath where High Kings of Ireland were crowned, and according to legend it screeched whenever the rightful monarch was being inaugurated there.
