Cumar Na nUisci (The Meeting of the Waters) – Bearna Golf Club
The stream which divides the fairway at a critical distance from the tee is the confluence of waters from different parts of the surrounding terrain. The player who deliberately (or otherwise) ‘laid up’ before the water may croon one verse of “The Meeting of the Waters” without malice whilst one’s opponent is retrieving a mis-hit ball from the brook.
